Kelli Hemmen’s Testimony

I grew up completely un-churched and uneducated about the gospel. I was very selfish and took my life into my own hands – I did what I wanted whenever I wanted and didn’t have much regard towards my sins. I was callous towards what I was doing such as partying at college.

I was searching for something bigger. I had never read a Bible and wanted so badly to get in the Word. I met Greg at work and instantly took to the idea of a Bible study. I just needed and wanted something bigger in my life.

I was driving on a perfectly sunny day. I was talking to God and just thanking Him for all the blessings in my life that I don’t deserve because I’m such a sinner and asked God to please forgive me of my sins and to come into my heart and save me from all my sins. Lamentations 3:23 – Steadfast love of the Lord endures forever. This really struck my heart that God’s love is so good and never ending.

The Holy Spirit has convicted me and made me aware of the sins in my life and I’m trying every day to become more like Him. I talk to God every day and thank Him for His awesome love. I now have a solid rock in my life that I turn to multiple times a day. It is an amazing joy in my heart every day to have a relationship with God.
