Danielle Daggett’s Testimony

Although I cannot recall a lot from the first 5 years of my life, I am sure that I was a little sinner. My parents were saved and our family attended church regularly. Of that, I am extremely externally grateful.

One Sunday morning during Sunday school, I was convicted of my need to be forgiven and saved from the guilt of my sin and how it separated me from having a personal relationship with the living God.

It was that very morning that my Sunday school teacher led me into a prayer asking the Lord to forgive me, save me, and come live in me and control my life. Even though I was very young (5 years old), I can remember that day and the joy of trusting in Christ. I believe that day I became a new creature! The old had passed and the new had come (2 Corinthians 5:17). Proverbs 3:5-6 became my life verse as I got older and I realized that I needed to entrust everything to the Lord and let His understanding (NOT MINE) guide me.

Since that day, Christ has done great things through me and is changing me daily as I pursue Him in the study of the Word, prayer, and sharing my faith with others! I am so thankful of the Holy Spirit working as I am so often convicted of my own sins and how they offend God. Praise the Lord for His unconditional love and perfect justice as He has shown me His desire is not that I continue in sin, but run back to His open arms of grace. All that I am today is because of that grace!
